United Tennis Journal

Editorial policy

United Tennis Journal aims to make tennis easier to follow through clear explanations, careful wording and visible corrections. Our editorial choices serve readers first, and any material with a commercial connection is identified plainly.

Accuracy and clarity

We check explanations against reliable, relevant information and take care to distinguish a formal rule from a tactical interpretation or general observation. Where a point depends on a particular format or version of the rules, we say so rather than implying that every match works the same way. We do not present guesses as established facts.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial coverage is shaped by reader interest, not by a promise of favourable treatment. Paid, supplied or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can tell when a commercial relationship is involved. A partnership does not guarantee editorial conclusions or a particular review.

Corrections and illustrations

If we find a material error, we correct the relevant text and make the change clear where appropriate. Readers can flag possible errors through the Contact page. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, we identify them as such and do not use them as evidence of a real match or event.

Our point of view

The score is only one way to read a match

We explain the rules and choices around tennis without assuming you already know the jargon. The aim is to make each match more interesting to follow, not to tell players how to train.
